Summary:

While God asked Mary and Joseph to do something that would come at a great cost to each of them to bring the Savior into the world, God also asked something of the shepherds that would cost them, too. In fact, what God asked of the shepherds is what He asks of all of us who have encountered Jesus. Looking back at their story can encourage us to do what He is asking each of us to do this Christmas, too.
