Romans 9 has been a flashpoint of discussion within the Christian church for centuries. Many read it and see God's election of certain individual to heaven and others to hell. Others don't know what to make of it in light of so many other Scriptures that seem to point to our individual freedom to either choose or reject salvation in Jesus Christ. So what's going on here? What is Paul's main concern within the argument of the book as a whole? And what encouragement are we supposed to walk away with from reading this chapter?
